Benedictus Prayer – Luke 1:68-79 "Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, for He has visited and brought redemption to his people.
He has raised up a horn for our salvation within the house of David his servant, even as He promised through the mouth of his holy prophets from of old; salvation from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us, to show mercy to our fathers and to be mindful of His holy covenant and of the oath he swore to Abraham our father, and to grant us that, rescued from the hand of enemies, without fear we might worship Him in holiness and righteousness before him all our days.
And you, child, will be called prophet of the most high, for you will go before the Lord to prepare His ways, to give His people knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins, because of the tender mercy of our God by which the daybreak from on high will visit us to shine on those who sit in darkness and death’s shadow, to guide our feet into the path of peace.”

1 Corinthians 11:3

Through their mutual inspiration, they decided to create Benedictus of North County San Diego based on the model of Magnificat. Benedictus greatly appreciates the inspiration and support it received from the women of Magnificat.
With the approval of the Most Reverend Robert Brom, Bishop of San Diego, the first function for Benedictus of North County San Diego, a prayer breakfast, took place on
Benedictus of North County San Diego, therefore, has the privilege of being called the Father Chapter of Benedictus.
The men of Benedictus greatly desire to see Catholic men become spiritual leaders in their family and community by being under the headship of Christ as 1COR 11:3 states:
“I want you to know that Christ is the head of every man, and a husband the head of his wife, and God the head of Christ.”
Benedictus calls upon men to become spiritual leaders of their families by being under Christ’s headship and thereby building up the Church. Our desire is to edify and infuse the role of today’s Catholic men with traditional Catholic values, values that seem to be contrary to today’s secular world. To that end, we have selected
