SIGN OF THE CROSS

PRAYER AT THE ABORTION CENTER

Father, I come to this place as to a new Calvary. I wish to stand here with Mary and those others who stood by the cross of Jesus the day He sacrificed Himself for us sinners. I firmly believe the sorrowful scene before my eyes is nothing less than a reenactment of Jesus’ suffering and death, already anticipated in the massacre of the innocents of Bethlehem and repeated in the slaughter of these least brethren of His, the tiny children brought here today for killing.

O Father, I offer You the blood of Jesus and, mingled with it, the blood of these little ones. I ask that You bless pregnant mothers so they may choose life and also provide the needed grace to soften the hearts of abortionists and their supporters. Please remember Jesus’ own prayer from the cross with its echo in Mary’s heart: "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do."

Father, once You told Joseph to take the Child and His mother far from those seeking the Child’s life. I offer myself to You, as St. Joseph’s helper, ready to do everything I can for my beloved Jesus and Mary in the person of any child and mother You entrust to my care. Dear Father, accept my prayer in the name of Jesus. Amen.

ST. MICHAEL PRAYER

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in this day of battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and the snares of the Devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray and to thou O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God cast into hell Satan and all his evil spirits who prowl through the world seeking the ruin of souls.

Say: The Apostles Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth;

and in Jesus Christ, His only Son our Lord;
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into hell;
the third day He rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven,
sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,

the Holy Catholic Church,
the communion of Saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
and the resurrection of the body
and life everlasting. Amen.

Our Father, (3) Hail Mary’s, Glory Be

Fatima Prayer

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell, lead all souls into Heaven, especially those who are most in need of Your mercy.

First Joyful Mystery: THE ANNUNCIATION

The Angel Gabriel said to Mary: "Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women...You shall conceive and bear a son, and you shall call His name Jesus...Mary answered, "Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it done to me according to your word." (Luke 1:28, 31,38)

As Mary accepted with faith her unexpected pregnancy and trusted God to work things out, may all women today accept the life within them and trust God to help them work through their problems.

We pray for all pregnant women....Our Father, Ten Hail Mary’s, Glory Be

Our Lady of Fatima.......Pray for us.

Second Joyful Mystery: THE VISITATION

Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit and cried out in a loud voice: "Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb...The moment your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe in my womb leapt for joy." Luke 1:42-44

As Mary and Elizabeth ministered to each other and shared their joy together, may we serve pregnant mothers who are in need.

We pray for all family’s of pregnant mothers that they will be a support in the life of the child....Our Father, etc.

Our Lady of Fatima......Pray for us.

Third Joyful Mystery: THE BIRTH OF JESUS

And it came to pass while they were there, that the days for Mary to be delivered were fulfilled. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes and laid him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn. Luke 2:6-7

God came to us at Bethlehem in the form of a baby. May God come to each woman who conceives a child. May the love she learns to have for her baby open her heart for receiving the love of God.

We pray for Spiritual Baptism for all babies in the womb.....Our Father, etc.

Our Lady of Fatima......Pray for us.

Fourth Joyful Mystery: THE PRESENTATION

When the days of her purification were fulfilled they took him up to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord...Simeon blessed them and said to his Mother, "Behold, this child is destined for the fall and for the rise of many in Israel, and for a sign that shall be contradicted; and thy own soul a sword shall pierce. Luke 2:22, 34, 35

Mary and Joseph presented the child Jesus in the temple, in accordance with the prescriptions of Jewish law. May we never fail to observe the moral prescriptions of our Church in our lives.

We pray for all parents, that they will raise their Children to follow God’s law....Our Father,

Our Lady of Fatima......Pray for us.

Fifth Joyful Mystery: THE FINDING OF THE CHILD JESUS IN THE TEMPLE

After three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions... And He returned with His parents to Nazareth, and was obedient to them." Luke 2:46, 51

Mary and Joseph were distressed to have lost Jesus in the temple. May those who have lost, or never found Christ, open their hearts to Him.

We pray for all educators, that they will teach according to God’s law and be for life. Our Father, etc. Our Lady of Fatima......Pray for us.

First Sorrowful Mystery: THE AGONY IN THE GARDEN

Kneeling down, He began to pray, "Father if it be your will, take this cup from me, yet not my will but yours be done...In His anguish He prayed even more intensely, and His sweat became like drops of blood falling to the ground. Luke 22:42, 44

Even Christ found it difficult to do His Father’s will at Gethsemane. May each woman who agonizes whether to choose life or death for her child have the courage to say "Thy will be done" and choose life.

We pray for fathers of all the babies conceived that they will support the life of the baby. Our Father, etc. Our Lady of Sorrows......Pray for us.

Second Sorrowful Mystery: THE SCOURGING AT THE PILLAR

Pilate released Barabbas to them. Jesus, however, he first had scourged; then he handed Him over to be crucified. Matthew 27:26

As Christ was scourged, His skin was torn. The pain was agonizing upon His innocent flesh. May the merits of Christ’s suffering bring an end to legalized abortion.

We pray for all doctors, nurses, etc. who are performing abortions that they will repent and stop the killing. Our Father, etc.

Our Lady of Sorrows......Pray for us.

Third Sorrowful Mystery: THE CROWNING WITH THORNS

Weaving a crown of thorns they fixed it on his head, and placed a reed in His right hand. To make fun of Him they knelt before Him saying: "Hail, King of the Jews." They spat on Him, and took the reed and kept striking Him on the head. Matthew 27:29, 30

As Christ was crowned with thorns He suffered great humiliation. May we never be afraid of human opinion, pain, humiliation in our pro-life apostolate. May we always offer it up for the love of Jesus, in reparation for the sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary and for the conversion of sinners.

We pray for all who are in jail and are suffering for their stand on abortion. Our Father, etc.

Our Lady of Sorrows......Pray for us.

Fourth Sorrowful Mystery: THE CARRYING OF THE CROSS

When the soldiers had finished mocking Him...they led Him away to crucify Him. On the way they laid hold of a certain Simon of Cyrene, coming from the country, and upon Him they laid the cross to bear it after Jesus. Matthew 27:31; Luke 23:26

Lord, by the time You carried the cross, You were near total exhaustion. Yet You went on, giving totally of Yourself. Help us to go on with our pro-life efforts, no matter how tired or discouraged we may be. May we never rest until we have given ourselves completely.

We pray for Pope John Paul 11 and Humane Vitae, that people will listen and obey the teachings of the Church and be for life. Our Father, etc.

Our Lady of Sorrows......Pray for us.

Fifth Sorrowful Mystery: THE CRUCIFIXION

When they came to the place called the Skull, they crucified Him...Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing"...There was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour...and Jesus cried out with a loud voice, "Father, into your hands I commend my spirit." Luke 23:33, 34, 44, 46

From the cross You ask, "Forgive them, they know not what they do." Although You gave Your life, You bore no malice. As Your Heart was pierced, it poured forth love. By the merits of Your death, help us to work without malice, wishing, like You, only the conversion of the sinner.

We pray that all professionals will respect life from the moment of conception until natural death. Our Father, etc. Our Lady of Sorrows......Pray for us.

First Glorious Mystery: THE RESURRECTION

And looking up they saw that the stone had been rolled back, for it was very large...On entering the tomb they saw a young man sitting at the right side...who said to them. "Do not be afraid. You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth who was crucified. He is risen, He is not here. Behold the place where they laid Him." Mark 16:4-6

On the glorious Easter morning life triumphed over death. Love overcame evil. So it will always be. You came that we might have life, and have it more abundantly. Thank You, Lord. Help us to always remember that we are the children of the Resurrection.

Then, after speaking to them, the Lord Jesus was taken up into heaven and took His seat at God’s right hand." (Mark 16:19)

Your work done, You returned to the Father, saying, "You will be my witnesses...even to the ends of the earth." So many who are considering abortion are at the ends of the earth - unloved and unloving, hurt, scared, poor, near despair. Help us to lead them toward you.

And there appeared to them parted tongues as of fire, which settled upon each of them. And they were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in foreign tongues, even as the Holy Spirit prompted them to speak." Acts 2:3, 4

Through the Holy Spirit you live within us. We are your apostles for life. May the Holy Spirit guide us as we pray for the unborn, their mothers, and to soften the hearts of the abortionists and their supporters.

THE HAIL HOLY QUEEN

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy! Our life, our sweetness, and our hope! To Thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve; to Thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn, then, O most gracious Advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us; and after this our exile show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus; O Clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary. Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Let us pray.

O God, whose only begotten Son, by His life, death, and resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of eternal salvation; grant, we beseech Thee, that by meditating upon these mysteries of the most holy rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain, and obtain what they promise; through the same Christ our Lord. Amen

Sacred Heart of Jesus: Have Mercy on us.

Immaculate Heart of Mary: Pray for us.
