Spiritual Counseling

"He has counsel in store for the upright, He is the shield of those who walk honestly." Proverbs 2:7

Purpose:

1. Help others realize that the solution to many problems is no further away than God's word and the teachings of the Church, and partaking of the sacraments.

2. Bring others into a fuller acceptance of what the Church teaches.

3. Refer to the sacrament of reconciliation for healing before getting into counseling.

Function:

1. Counsel by using God's holy word, encyclicals, and the new catechism.

2. Direct others into the Bread of Life Catholic Bible Study.

3. Follow up with a return call to see how they are doing.

4. Pray with them for healing.
